Coach

The core of health coaching focuses on setting health goals and achieving those goals through lifestyle change.  The health goals, and the action steps leading toward those goals, are self-directed by the client and the pathway to meeting those goals is co-created by the client and the coach.  The coach supports the client by helping the client to connect with internal strengths and external resources and by empowering the client develop self-management strategies that will long outlive the duration of the coaching relationship.

Coaching sessions may also include health education, guided imagery and/or instruction in mindfulness, yoga and/or other self-care practices to support overall optimal well-being.  I strongly believe that down-regulating the nervous system is the first step toward overall wellness.  From there, my niche areas of education and experience focus on helping you to find the most holistic and balanced ways to nourish your whole body and being.

Do you choose foods that are nourishing and energizing?  Do you regularly move your body in ways that both strengthen and stretch?  Do you schedule time for self-care to disengage from stressors that contribute to your dis-ease?  Do you prioritize opportunities to engage with others in a like-minded community?  These pillars of lifestyle medicine can be preventative or curative, depending on your current experience of wellness and wellbeing.

I graduated from the Integrative Health Studies Master of Arts program at the California Institute of Integral Studies.  I am an Integrative Health Practitioner and a national board-certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).  Coaching sessions are available virtually via Zoom or by phone.  First sessions are scheduled for 75 minutes.  Follow up sessions can be 60 or 75 minutes.  60 minutes for $80 or 75 minutes for $95.
