I was first introduced to yoga nidra more than 15 years ago during the amazing restorative yoga classes I took at Harmony Yoga. I was always so excited when a guided yoga nidra session ended the restorative yoga class. I experienced such a deep level of relaxation because my nervous system was able to down regulate. A regular yoga nidra practice helped me establish a new baseline for my nervous system. I was then able to reconnect with this down-regulated baseline again and again after the session. The residual benefits of yoga nidra are definitely cumulative.
I began learning how to teach yoga nidra during my 200-hour yoga teacher training. I completed the iRest Yoga Nidra Level 1 teacher training in 2017. And, I also had the amazing opportunity to complete the Total Yoga Nidra teacher training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and really deepen my own yoga nidra practice and really broaden the horizons of what I can offer to clients and groups. I offer private yoga nidra sessions, alone or in combination with restorative yoga, in my office, virtually or as a recording for your self-care practice.
A typical restorative yoga and yoga nidra session lasts 60 minutes — $70. 30 minute sessions can also be customized for $40.
