Yoga Nidra is a meditative practice that elicits the Relaxation Response. Yoga Nidra means “yoga sleep” or “yoga of sleep”. The practice is very helpful to ease you into sleep. It is also very beneficial at any time during the day to encourage deep relaxation and restoration through the experience of “awake sleep”. The practice is 18 minutes long and it is suitable for a beginner or an experienced practitioner. Please try to limit any distractions in the space around you and enjoy the practice.
This Nada Nidra recording was my midterm project for the Integrative Sound and Music Practitioner program for the Open Center. Nada Yoga means “sound yoga”. Yoga Nidra means “yoga sleep”. Nada Nidra blends the elements of Yoga Nidra and a sound bath into a synergistic practice. This practice is 20 minutes long and it includes my voice, Crystal Alchemy singing bowls, chimes, unweighted tuning forks and a short period of silence. Please try to limit any distractions in the space around you and enjoy the practice.
